This Monday, January 15, 2024, the 29th edition of the festival opened its registrations to the general public! All lovers of the ocean and photography are invited to visit www.fiismm.com to register.
Picture RUSCA SOPHIE (Festival of underwater photography in Mayotte, 2023 edition)
This year, the festival will take place from May 23 to 26, 2023, at Place de la République in Mamoudzou.
A place to meet, share and exchange, its main objective is to raise awareness among the widest possible audience of the beauty and richness of the marine environment, and the need to preserve it.
As every year, the competition is open to amateurs and professionals alike, with 3 main categories:
- The Jack Passe drawing competition, reserved for young people (2 categories: under 12 and 12 to 19).
This year’s theme is: “The magical world of the coral reef”.
- Still photo competition (4 sub-categories: portfolio, thematic trio, printed photo and special competition for the Mayotte diving club).
- The film competition (4 sub-categories: large format 52′, small format 26′, clip under 3′ and school films).
Registration for the various competitions is entirely free of charge.
