The day of the blue economy will take place on July 17. On this occasion, the International Organization of La Francophonie, through the Representation of the OIF for the Indian Ocean and the Institute of La Francophonie for Sustainable Development, is organizing a regional video contest.
This contest, organized by the OIF, will be held in partnership with Ocean Hub Africa, the Ministry of Fisheries and the Blue Economy of the Seychelles, the Journal des Archipels de l’océan Indien, the Institut Halieutique et des Sciences marines de Tuléar Madagascar, the Réseau des Jeunes Entrepreneurs des Comores and Partnership Labs – La Réunion.
Objectives: to produce a video of 1:30 minutes minimum to 2 minutes maximum where the participant films himself in front of the camera and speaks in French on the theme of the contest: how is the future of the Indian Ocean linked to the blue economy?
Through this contest, the idea is to make the general public aware of the stakes of the blue economy in the Indian Ocean area, but also to promote the oratory art in French of the young people of the Indian Ocean around the theme of the blue economy. Finally, to highlight the potential of the Blue Economy in the Indian Ocean.
Territories concerned: Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, France
Participants : Resident(s) of the Indian Ocean aged between 18 and 35 years old
