On September 30, Bank One unveiled “pop”, the one and only universal digital payment solution in Mauritius. This announcement comes just days after the official launch of MauCAS by the Bank of Mauritius – MauCAS aims to make e-commerce, banking and mobile payments interoperable.
The launch of pop is a major technological breakthrough in digital payments, which are now accessible and affordable via a smartphone for anyone with a bank account in Mauritius. Available on App Store and Google Play Store, pop offers an exceptional experience for customers and a low-cost acquiring platform for merchants. In just a few steps, users will be able to connect their bank accounts to pop and use it to make instant payments between banks, share bills, or pay merchants with a QR code or phone number at no cost. They will also receive rewards for inviting friends and family to use pop and earn loyalty points when they pay with pop at approved merchants.
