The Made in Moris label continues to attract entrepreneurs. Three new actors participating in the local economy in different sectors of activity have recently obtained their membership to the label. They benefit from the strength of a label created 9 years ago by the Association of Mauritian Manufacturers, to promote the know-how of local manufacturers.
YUGO, TaMIS and Xtruline are now part of the network of over 130 companies that proudly hold the Made in Moris label. The new members represent the full diversity of local production. YUGO and TaMIS offer innovative technological solutions for mobility and human resources management. Xtruline innovates with surgical masks.
Before receiving the label, members must meet specific specifications and demonstrate that they operate in a formal and structured manner. Labeling is accompanied by a rigorous process supervised by SGS, the label’s independent certifier. “The companies and entrepreneurs create direct and indirect jobs. Each one is evaluated according to a set of specifications adapted to its sector,” explains Shirin Gunny, the label’s general manager.
