As announced in our columns last August 16, the French Embassy, with the support of the Turbine (ENL group), is launching a call for projects on the Blue Economy focusing on three sectors: food, pharmaceuticals and well-being.
This Tuesday, September 21, the French Embassy and the Turbine invite business leaders, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in the development of the blue economy to attend an information webinar on the call for projects launched last August by the French Embassy and the Turbine. This call for projects concerns the development of innovative companies that value the ocean, the sea, the coasts and their multiple resources. It is part of the French presidency of the Indian Ocean Commission and the Blue Year of the Indian Ocean. The selected projects will be supervised by the Turbine coaches before preparing their pitch in front of a panel of evaluators. The call for projects, launched in August, focuses on three sectors: food, pharmaceuticals and well-being. Interested applicants have until September 30 to submit their projects at https://innovation.turbine.mu/economie-bleue/. The September 21 webinar will be hosted by Jean-Baptiste Routier, project manager. It will recall the objectives of this call for projects and present innovative projects around the blue economy. This webinar will also see the participation of entrepreneurs and researchers on marine technologies and innovations. The question of funding sources will also be addressed. “Scientists around the world agree on the rapid degradation of our environment (species extinction, soil degradation, climate change, soil and water pollution). Despite this, we know that the action of each one of us can contribute to slow down and then reverse the process that we see every day. Don’t be a spectator and put your ideas into action.
