The LUX* group, localized in the south of the island, opened the ball by hosting a hundred “resident tourists” on September 3.
After 18 months of closure, the 214-room establishment, which can receive about 500 people, has started off well, as about a hundred Mauritians and expatriates have been able to take advantage of the services of the 270 staff who are all smiles after this period of uncertainty: “We offer a ratio of 1.3 employees per tourist, which is one of the highest on the international market,” explains Mélanie OHIS, head of sales and marketing of the establishment. This will satisfy even the most exigent client who will have the choice between different experiences marked by games and discoveries: “we want to offer activities in line with our values such as joy and games, but also new experiences”, says the manager. The space dedicated to the spa is a good example of these experiences: people come there for treatments but also to relax and learn thanks to courses allowing them to compose their own exfoliating mixtures and moisturizing creams. Note that all water activities are now open, as well as the three restaurant areas: the foodtruck, the beach restaurant and the buffet area. All of this under a very strict sanitary protocol in anticipation of a total opening of the borders next October. The Institutions also manages the sumptuous island of the two cocos, located on the other side of the south of the island, in the south-east precisely.
