India participates in naval observation points in Madagascar and Abu Dhabi

After joining the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) as an observer in March, India will second naval liaison officers to the Regional Center for Maritime Information Fusion (RMICF) in Madagascar and the Strait of Hormuz to improve maritime navigation, following the European initiative for maritime surveillance. On February 5, the initiative was declared operational by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, supported by seven European countries. These operational links of the Indian Navy are expected to be assigned to EMASOH in Abu Dhabi in July and to RMIFC in Madagascar in September or October. India has already had a link to the information fusion center in Singapore for more than four years. EMASOH is made up of Belgian, Danish, Dutch and French officers, all installed at the French naval base in Abu Dhabi.
