Savannah Connected Countryside is a ‘smart village’ project run by the ENL group in the south of the country. While the village is in full development, or even in its early stages, it offers an immersive experience to project yourself into the future, through an interactive model. This new tool, designed using innovative technology in Mauritius, allows visitors to discover this large-scale development project, which aims to offer a way of life in harmony with nature, combining sustainable agriculture, preservation of endemic forests and property development.

The model is installed in Place de Gros Bois, Savannah’s meeting place: the village square, you might say. Today, ‘Savannah’ is: Place de Gros Bois with a restaurant, meeting rooms, football pitch, tennis-volleyball and basketball courts, boules pitch, kids club, children’s play area, a boutique, a Workshop17 coworking space, a pre-primary and primary school with over 100 pupils and two housing projects comprising flats, duplexes and penthouses and residential plots. The school is set to expand, and a sports centre, an 11-acre agricultural park (around 46,000 m2) and an agricultural land parcel are in the pipeline.
